Look at the label inside your favourite dress.
There's a good chance it says polyester.
Maybe nylon, or acrylic.
Most of us wear these fabrics every day without thinking twice about them.
The strange part is that very few people actually know what they are.
Polyester isn't a fabric in the traditional sense.
It's a synthetic fibre made from petroleum.
The same raw material used to make plastic bottles, packaging and countless other everyday products.
And yet, it has become the default material in modern fashion.
Why?
Because it's inexpensive. Easy to manufacture. Easy to dye. Easy to scale.
For brands, it's efficient.
For the person wearing it, the experience is often different.
Synthetic fabrics tend to trap heat.
They don't breathe as easily as natural fibres.
And they rarely become more comfortable with age.
Natural fibres behave differently — Cotton softens; Linen relaxes; Silk adapts.
They move with the body instead of sitting on top of it.
Which is why we built ZYKAZ around them.
Not because natural fabrics are trendy.
Not because they're sustainable.
Because they simply feel better to wear.
And we think that's reason enough.
