The fabrics in our atelier
Six natural fabrics, each picked for how it sits on the body. The materials behind every piece this season.
The six fabrics behind every piece this season — natural fibres, no synthetics, chosen for how they live on the body.
Cotton
The familiar one, but only the right kind. Long-staple, plant-based, breathable. The everyday weight behind our tanks, tees, and lighter layers. Takes washing in stride, holds colour, and gets better with wear.
Silk
A drape no synthetic can fake. We use it for the pieces meant to feel quiet against the body — slip dresses, blouses, the evening cuts. Light, cool, and a sheen that catches the eye without trying.
Flatknits
Knitted, not woven — pieces with structure that doesn't crease. Behind our cropped tops, tanks, and body-skimming silhouettes that need to hold shape through a long day. Soft against the skin, slow to lose form.
Modal
Regenerated cellulose drawn from sustainably-managed beech forests. Cool to the touch, with a drape that recovers without pressing. It takes pigment beautifully — our deepest reds, our quietest whites. The fabric behind the printed dresses, the wave-pattern weaves, and the ribbed family.
Ecovero
A closed-loop viscose — sustainably produced, biodegradable. We use it where colour needs to stay saturated and the fabric needs to feel light. Soft, fluid, easy to live in.
Linen Ecovero
A 90/10 linen-Ecovero blend at a confident mid-weight. The linen brings the breathability and quiet texture; the Ecovero keeps colour saturated through wash after wash and softens the wrinkle that pure linen produces. The cloth behind the structural pieces — the co-ords, the tailored tops.
What we will never use
No polyester. No nylon. No acrylic. No spandex. No synthetic fibres of any kind. Every metre in our cloth library is a natural fibre.
